CITY OF DEER PARK N. DALTON WELL #1 BUILDING REHABILITATION

INVITATION FOR BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Deer Park will open sealed bid proposals and publicly read them aloud on or after 2:00 P.M. on February 21, 2023, at City Hall in Deer Park Washington for the N. Dalton Well #1 Building Rehabilitation Project.

The project generally consists of rehabilitating the existing well building by extending the CMU building to encompass the new well, replacement of well pump electrical and controls, and site improvements in accordance with the Contract Documents and specifications. The City of Deer Park will have the pump and motor installed concurrent with building and electrical improvements, for the Contractor to complete final wiring and start up with the other electrical improvements.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Deer Park City Hall, 316 E. Crawford Avenue, Deer Park, WA.

All contractors and subcontractors must be licensed to conduct business in Washington State.

Sealed bid proposals must be delivered to the City of Deer Park (316 E. Crawford Avenue, Deer Park WA 99006) by the time and date specified for opening, and in an envelope clearly marked “SEALED BID FOR CITY OF DEER PARK N. DALTON WELL #1 BUILDING REHABILITATION”. In person acceptance of delivered bids will be available at City Hall from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. weekdays.

SEALED BID PROPOSALS MUST BE DELIVERED BEFORE 2:00 P.M.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Only properly executed proposals submitted on the forms furnished by the City of Deer Park will be accepted. All bidders are required to submit a list of subcontractors that will perform work on the project amounting to ten percent (10%) or more of the contract amount.

Rejection of Bids: The City of Deer Park shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required to by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. The City of Deer Park shall have the right to reject all bids and not award the Work to any bidder.

All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates.

This project is funded through the Spokane County Community Development Block Grant Program (Spokane County Community Services, Housing and Community Development Department) with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. HUD Section 3 compliance requirements apply to this project.
