City of Forks - HVAC/AHU Upgrades for both District Court Room & Rainforest Arts Center

The City of Forks is seeking quotes for two different heating/air conditioning projects.  One project would be for the District Court Room located in the City Hall Building at 500 East Division Street.  The other project would be at Rainforest Arts Center located at 35 North Forks Avenue.  Both projects are for buildings located within the City of Forks and that are owned by the City.

The first project is the replacement of the older, undersized system in the District Court Room located in the City Hall Building with a new high efficiency inverte4-ton split system utilizing the same electrical circuit as the current undersized 3-ton condenser.   Contractor will remove and properly dispose of the existing 3-ton air handling unit and 3-ton condenser.  Contractor will install the new 4-ton air handling unit and a new high efficiency inverter driven 4-ton outdoor heat pump condenser to be located in the same location at the removed 3-ton condenser.  In undertaking this replacement and upgrade, the Contractor will also provide all necessary lines, wiring, needed fresh air intakes with appropriate damper adjustments, associated ductwork, cycle and system testing, and any necessary adjustments.

The second project is the failed compressor and miscellaneous associated parts for a unit serving the Rainforest Arts Center.  As part of the project, the Contractor will need to recover all of any contaminated refrigerant and ensure the disposal of that refrigerant to EPA guidelines.  Contractor will have to provide the necessary equipment to remove the heavy compressor and install the new compressor with its refrigerant filter drier.  The new system must be flushed at least two times, and an acid neutralizer included to protect the system from internal contamination.  Contractor will undertake proper testing, evacuation to the appropriate micron level, charge the system with factory recommended refrigerant, and undertake all necessary systems testing, balancing, etc.

Work associated with both projects must be performed by commercial HVAC service technicians with property training, licensing, and industry and EPA certifications.
