ISRAEL ROAD AND LINDERSON WAY PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE IMPROVEMENTS
SUBMITTAL OF SEALED BIDS:
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids shall be hand-delivered to the Public Works Department front counter, located downstairs at Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, Washington, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2024, for the Israel Road and Linderson Way Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements project. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Bid deliveries other than hand-delivered (i.e., faxed or emailed) will not be accepted.
BID OPENING:
All bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2024 at Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, Washington, for this request for bids.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Contractor shall perform all work and furnish all tools, materials, supplies, equipment, labor and other items incidental thereto necessary for the construction and completion of the work, more particularly described as the Israel Road and Linderson Way Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements project. The Project includes, without limitation, demolition of existing features, pavement resurfacing and minor reprofiling, installation of cement conc. sidewalks, curb ramps and driveways, channelization, pedestrian beacons, stormwater improvements, temporary erosion and sediment control, minor grading, temporary traffic control, clean-up, and other work; all in accordance with the attached Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications, all in accordance with the Contract Documents (“Work”).
Cost estimate range: $1,500,000 – 2,000,000
BID DOCUMENTS:
Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects," "Public Works," and "City of Tumwater.” This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to download, view, print, and order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List." Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. All bid proposals shall be in accordance with the contract documents which may be obtained through Builders Exchange of Washington.

All correspondence (written and email) shall contain the Subject Line “Israel Road and Linderson Way Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements – Bidding Question”. All questions must be received a minimum of 48 hours prior to bid opening. No addendums will be issued within 24 hours of bid opening.
RESERVATION OF RIGHTS:
The City of Tumwater reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or any portion of any bid, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid or in the bidding, and determine which bid or bidder meets the criteria set forth in the bid documents. The City shall reserve the right to reject single items or combinations of bid items.
No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days.

The City of Tumwater in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
