City of Yakima Municipal Engineering Services - Request for Statement of Qualifications

The City of Yakima is inviting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing general civil engineering and staff support services to the City of Yakima on various projects and related work.  The engineering firm shall be expected to perform the work required by each task or group of tasks that shall be specifically assigned by the City for completion during each year of this contract term. Tasks shall be specifically assigned by individual mutually agreed upon "Task Orders," at such time as the City requires them to be accomplished.   Said Task Orders to include, but not be limited to, the specific task description, the not to exceed cost and the time for completion thereof, together with any special instructions associated with a particular task. 

The term of this contract shall be February 1st, 2023 thru December 31st, 2023 with an option to extend through 2024.

SOQs shall be limited to twenty (20) pages and shall include the following information: key personnel, firm experience with PS&E, familiarity with the City of Yakima and/or other similar municipalities, familiarity with WSDOT standards, experience with federally funded projects, and past performance/references. Please submit three (3) copies of the Statement of Qualifications.  Statement of Qualifications will be evaluated on a competitive basis using the above criteria. The City will score the received Statement of Qualifications and may conduct interviews.

SOQs shall be received at Yakima City Hall by 11:00 a.m., January 31st, 2023, to the Office of the City Clerk, 129 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA 98901.  Questions regarding the SOQ should be directed to Bill Preston, Yakima City Engineer at (509) 576-6754, Bill.Preston@yakimawa.gov.
