Clark Public Utilities Posting Request / McCormick Site Prep – Herbicide Treatment

  1. Project Background

The successful vendor shall perform the required work for Clark Public Utilities at the following project location:

McCormick Creek Site Prep – Herbicide services

Location: near 33401 NW 24th Ave, La Center, WA

 

Total acreage: approximately 12 acres – 6 acres reed canary grass & 6 acres of scattered blackberry

  1. Statement of Needs

Contractor will provide all labor & equipment necessary for herbicide treatment of the following invasive plant species:

Reed Canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea) – approximately 6 acres

Himalayan and evergreen blackberry (Rubus armeniacus and Rubus laciniatus) – approximately 6 acres

Thistle (Cirsium spp.), Teasel (Dipsacus), Tansy (Jacobaea vulgaris), Nettle (Urtica dioica); Nightshade (Solanum dulcamara) (if present)

All herbicide will be provided by Clark Public Utilities.

 

Application rates will be provided by Clark Public Utilities.

 

The contractor is responsible to supply all equipment and PPE needed for treatment.

 

Equipment used for application or travel while accessing the project sites shall be limited to all-terrain vehicles or small light weight tractors.

 

Notification of herbicide application to landowners and adjacent property owners (if applicable) shall be performed jointly by the Contractor and Clark Public Utilities.

 

Contractor is responsible for keeping all herbicide application records as required by the Aquatic Noxious Weed Management General Permit administered by the Washington State Department of Ecology.

 

Contractor shall maintain and produce up to date Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) pesticide license credentials, including an Aquatic Endorsement, at the time of herbicide application(s).

 

Project should be completed by July 1, 2020.
