The City of Covington is requesting qualifications from qualified engineering consultants or consultant teams with experience and interest in providing professional construction management services to the Public Works Department for the Covington Connector project. The successful firm will have experience in contract administration, contractor/construction management, inspection, and materials testing requirements for the construction of streets, various wall construction inspection, multi-modal facilities/pedestrian sidewalks, drainage facilities, ADA requirements, and public relations. The city invites interested parties to respond to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) by submitting their qualifications relating to this type of project. The Agreement is anticipated to start in the summer of 2020 and end in 2024.
The City will conduct interviews with 3-5 qualified consultants for the Covington Connector project. The selected consultants should be knowledgeable about Washington State and City of Covington standards, State regulations, and project implementation requirements. Must have experience in:
- Contract Administration
- Inspection and materials testing services anticipated for this project
- Response to construction/contractor/plan irregularities
- Utility projects
- Federal, State, and County funded projects
