SCOPE: The work consists of construction of a new, three-story Health Sciences laboratory, classroom and office building of approximately 81,394 gross square feet.
ESTIMATED COST: $33 million
TIME/DATE/LOCATION: Sealed Bids (Proposal Form Part 1) will be received up to 3:00 PM PST, Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Central Washington University’s Jongeward Plant Services Building, located at 205
E. 11th Avenue, Ellensburg 98926, on a general contract, including mechanical and electrical work, for CWU Health Sciences Building. Bids received after the day and hour above stated will not receive consideration and will be time/date stamped and returned to bidder unopened.
Prior to 4:00 PM PST on Thursday, September 12, 2019 PST, Bidders shall submit bids on alternates and provide subcontractor and MWBE Participation information (Proposal Form
Part 2). Shortly after 4:00 PM PST, bids (Part 1 and 2) will then be publicly opened and read aloud.

PREBID CONFERENCE: The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid conference and site walk-through at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Jongeward Room 116. Jongeward is located on the CWU Ellensburg Campus, 205 E. 11th Avenue. Limited visitor parking is available in front of the building, as well as limited street parking or daily passes can be purchased at brown ticket dispensers located throughout campus. A ticket dispenser is available at the CWU Conference Center parking lot at 600 E. University Way, Ellensburg, WA Attendance at the pre-bid conference and site walk-through is encouraged but is not mandatory. Voluntary numerical MWBE goals of 10% MBE and 6% WBE have been established for this project. Achievement of the goals is encouraged.
