Project Name: Discovery Road – Wetland Mitigation Plan
Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of Discovery Road - Wetland
Mitigation Area adjacent to Discovery Road that includes but is not limited to, planting site
preparation, garbage removal, weeding, girdling and felling, plant procurement, planting, mulching,
and signing.

Schedule: The Project will be administered in three phases. Phase 1 will consist of 20 working days.
Phase 2 and 3 will consist of 20 working days. The entire contract period is expected to be three
years.

Engineer’s Estimate: $50,000 to $75,000

Bid Date: Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Port Townsend, at the Front Desk located at
City of Port Townsend, 250 Madison St., Suite 1, Port Townsend, WA 98368 until 2:00pm on June
15, 2023.

The City of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive minor
irregularities or informalities in the Bidding.

Bid Bond: All Bid Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Proposal deposit in cash, certified
check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of
such Bid Proposal. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish
satisfactory bonds to perform the Work within the time stated in the Specifications, the Bid
Proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Port Townsend.

available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. by going to www.bxwa.com.

“Project Bid Date.” Bidders must “Register as a Bidder,” in order to receive automatic e-mail
notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List.” This service is provided free
