CALL FOR MATERIALS BID
DISTRIBUTION PADMOUNT TRANSFORMER PROCUREMENT
PEND OREILLE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT

Introduction

Public Utility District No. 1 of Pend Oreille County (the District), is requesting bids from prospective distributors for sixty (60) single-phase 25 kVA padmount distribution transformers.

Scope of Work

Material bids should meet the District’s single-phase transformer specifications attached as Exhibit A, including but not limited to the following:

25 kVA, single-phase, padmount, primary12470GRDY/7200, secondary 240/120, 95kv BIL, loop feed, bayonet fused, with drip tray, secondary studs, bushing well inserts, with taps. Non-evaluated kva marked on outside.

Materials will be delivered to the District’s transformer storage area located at 9262 Coyote Trail Rd, Newport, Washington.

The District hopes to procure all materials by May 1, 2020, but understands there may be a longer lead-time.

Call for Bid Requirements

Bid must include a bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price.

Call for Bid Submittals

  • Proposals must be submitted no later than March 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Submittals received after the above date and time for any reason will not be considered.
  • Proposals must be submitted using ProcureWare (the Districts online contracting portal): https://popud.procureware.com
  • Questions related to this submittal must be sent via ProcureWare no later than March 25, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
  • Responses to these questions will be made available to all bidders via ProcureWare.


Evaluation of the Call for Bid

The District will evaluate each submitted bid for completeness. Bid submittals that do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered. The District reserves the right to reject all submittals, and modify or withdraw the Call for Bid. The District will award the contract to the qualified bidder whose proposal is most advantageous to the District based upon the factors identified below. The District reserves the right to negotiate with the highest scoring bidder/entity. Should the District fail to secure an agreement with the selected entity, the District may elect to pursue an agreement with the next highest scoring entity.

  • Meeting Specifications
  • Qualifications of the vendor
  • Price
  • Delivery timeline
  • Terms and Conditions

The District reserves the right to cancel this Call for Bid at any time, or issue amendments or corrections. The District reserves the right to award this contract, or to not award this contract.
