The Evergreen Bioscience Innovation Building (EBIB) would create an operable building that would provide a home for multiple bioscience businesses engaged in R&D, manufacturing, and talent development. This is expected to generate positive life science job growth by attracting new companies to our region and encouraging the growth and expansion of local bioscience companies in Washington.
This project will begin the key first steps on the EBIB design and specification and entails the following tasks:
- Conduct a building requirements study to define the needs of the building by interviewing EBIC members, potential tenants, lab and medical device manufacturing consultants, other successful and similar innovation spaces etc. The purpose of the requirements study is to increase cohesiveness and collaboration of our bioscience community to ensure that the completed building contains the features that industry desires.
- Conduct a site selection study to identify building locations best suited for the building construction or renovation.
- Complete as much architectural design of the building as possible using the available funding and project timeline.
- Identifies dollar amount required to complete full project funding.
- Generate blueprints, renderings, images, videos etc. of the proposed building which will be useful to communicate to the community and gather interest from capital investors.
