Apparatus Storage Facility/Fire Hall

 

Franklin County Fire Protection District #2 will receive sealed bids for their Apparatus Storage Facility/Fire Hall from qualified general contractors. Funding for the project is from the following: America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Franklin County Fire District #2 levy bonds, Port of Kahlotus, and possible State of Washington Capital Budget Funds.

Bids will be received until June 5, 2024, until 11:00am at Meier’s office located at 12 W. Kennewick Ave., Kennewick, WA 99336. Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted. The Bids will be publicly opened by Owner’s staff. Official bid results shall be made public within 48 hours of bid opening. Bids will be on a lump-sum basis awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities in the bidding. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to opening of bids without the written consent of the Owner.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid walk through for all bidding general contractors on May 28, 2024, at 11:00am at the Apparatus Storage Facility/Fire Hall located at 115 Violet Ave, Kahlotus, WA. Subcontractors are also welcome to attend.

The Project base bid scope of work includes site work, and exterior concrete paving. The building is a 3.600 SF. pre-engineered metal building, with vertical lift doors. The interior has room for 6 fire vehicles and has interior wood framed and gypsum wallboard walls. Interior spaces include a boardroom, restrooms and mechanical and electrical rooms. There is an additive alternate to increase the building to approximately 7,200 SF and 14 total fire vehicles.

The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunities to submit bids, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, religion, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, age, honorably discharged veteran or military status, national origin, or the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability in consideration for an award. This project is subject to both the Frankin County prevailing wage rates, and Federal "Davis-Bacon" wage rates requirements.
