NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:
Sealed Bids will be received by Seattle Public Schools (“SPS” or “Owner”) through and including 2:00 p.m. on September 16, 2020 at the Seattle Public Schools’ John Stanford Center, Contracting Services Section, 2445 Third Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98134 for Garfield High School Waterproofing & Door Repairs. The work will include, but not be limited to, careful removal, refurbishment, and reinstallation of existing historic entry doors, windows, and frames, including new & existing door hardware, and repairs to door/window rough openings, below grade waterproofing repairs, and waterproofing of the schools 2nd floor courtyard (courtyard work to include associated landscaping, excavation, and replanting work). The cost range is $591,000 to $641,000. Shortly after 2:00 p.m. bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the day and hour stated above will not receive consideration. Owner reserves the right to postpone the Bid opening.
In order to maintain the social distancing order of 6 feet, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via video outside the John Stanford Center in the covered area on the East side of the building. Please look for signs directing you to the bid area. The Microsoft Teams link to the public bid opening is available on the Seattle Public Schools Current Solicitations Web Site.
The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through at 1:00 p.m. on September 1, 2020, at Garfield High School, 400 23rd Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122. Check in at the main office. All current COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed at the pre-bid site meeting and walk-through.
