Geotechnical Review Support Services

The City of Sammamish Department of Community Development is soliciting interest from firms to provide geotechnical review support services.

This work may include:

  1. Site assessments to determine the presence/absence, and if present, location of geolocially hazardous areas including erosion hazard areas, landslide hazard areas, and seismic hazard areas.
  2. Evaluation of development proposals in areas where geologically hazardous areas or other sensitive features exist.
  3. Office review, field assessment, and verification of environmental documentation submitted in support of development proposals for compliance with geologically hazardous areas and other development regulations, including, but not limited to, geotechnical reports.
  4. Review of survey point elevation data serving as the basis for a slope map.
  5. Providing a timely, accurate, and detailed response to unexpected and regularly scheduled service requests.
  6. Field inspections of work associated with geologically hazardous restricted sites.
  7. Working collaboratively in a regulatory environment with other agencies, interest groups, and permit applicants.
  8. Attending project meetings, public hearings, and public meetings as requested by City staff.
  9. Providing staff and community training and workshops.
  10. Geotechnical and other review and analysis as requested by City staff.
  11. Produce memorandums that provide analysis and narrative on how applicant provided technical reports document compliance with applicable regulations.
