This project extends along I-405 for approximately 14 miles from the I-5 interchange Milepost (MP) 0.0 in Tukwila to just north of the NE 6th Street interchange (MP 14.6) in Bellevue.  The project will add an additional HOV lane northbound and southbound, an auxiliary lane between NE 44th and NE 30th southbound, and extend the southbound auxiliary lane from I-90 to 112th Ave SE.  Several overpasses will be replaced or widened, and the interchange at NE 44th St will be reconstructed.  Other improvements include fish passage crossings, noise walls, retaining walls, and stormwater.

Services and supplies being solicited include: aggregate; concrete curb , gutter, sidewalk and slope protection; drainage pipe; erosion and sediment control geotextiles; elastomeric bearing pads; expansion joints; equipment rental; fence; guardrail; guide posts; girders; haul (truck); hot mix asphalt paving; landscape; MSE walls; pavement markings; permanent signs; precast concrete drainage structures; ready-mix concrete; rebar; single slope concrete barrier; street sweeping; survey; tire wash; traffic control; storm water treatment; vacuum truck.

In order to assist certified Minority, Small, Veterans and Women Business Enterprise Contractors and Suppliers, we will divide items of work into smaller tasks or quantities and establish delivery and construction schedules which will permit maximum participation of disadvantaged businesses where feasible.
