Project Description: The purpose of this project is to relieve congestion on I-5. This project will rebuild the I-5 interchange at Steilacoom-DuPont Road and add a fourth lane to both NB and SB I-5 between MP 118.37 and 120.22. The Steilacoom-DuPont Rd interchange will require grade separation over I-5 and Sound Transit commuter rail line. The existing Pendelton Avenue I-5 under-crossing will be lowered and widened. A roundabout will be constructed at Willmington Drive / Steilacoom-DuPont Rd intersection. The project will also include retaining walls, sound walls, utility relocation, and structure demolition at two I-5 crossings.
