Invitation to Bid - LUD #40 Bill Point Water Part 2

INVITATION FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County (KPUD) will receive sealed bid proposals for the LUD #40 Bill Point Water Part 2 Project on March 2, 2023 until 1:30 p.m., at the KPUD Office, 1431 Finn Hill Road (P.O. Box 1989), Poulsbo, Washington 98370, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment and materials required for construction of 2827 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, and 40 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main on Taylor Avenue NE, and Old Creosote Hill Road NE, one service connections, asphalt roadway repair and other work as shown on the project plans and specifications.  The bid shall include provision of all necessary labor, equipment, material, and appurtenances required for construction.

 

The project lies within the Southeast ¼ Southwest ¼ , Section 35, Township 25N, Range 2E WM within the City of Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County, WA.  The western Taylor Avenue NE project start point is approximately 310 feet west of the intersection of Taylor Avenue NE and NE Wiggins Road at the existing end of the water system.  The northern project end point is at the intersection of NE Bill Point Drive and Old Creosote Hill Road NE. The time for completion on this project is 120 working days.

 

Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Kitsap Public Utility District". Plans and specifications are also on file at Kitsap PUD, 1431 Finn Hill Road, (P.O. Each Bid Proposal shall conform to the requirements of Section 1-02.9 of the Contract Special Provisions. Bids shall be made out on the bid form furnished with the specifications.

 

A 5% bid guarantee is required in the form of certified or cashier’s check, or surety bond in accordance with the contract specifications. Contractor must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Washington.

 

The contract will be awarded to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid.  KPUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding in accordance with the specifications.  All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates.
