Sealed bids will be received by Skanska U.S.A. Building, Inc. for construction subcontracts to the GC/CM Contract between Skanska U.S.A. Building, Inc. and Seattle Public Schools for the above listed Scopes of Work. Deliver sealed bids to:

Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud five minutes after the bid due time. Bids received after the dates and times stated above WILL NOT receive consideration.
PRE-BID CONFERENCES
A non-mandatory, though highly encouraged pre-bid conference will be held at the following location for all Group II Bid Packages. Pre-Bid Meeting will start at 3:30pm on April 20th, 2023.
Location: Montlake Elementary School: 2409 22nd Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112.
Contract Documents for this work may be obtained online through Building Connected. They will be available Friday, April 14th, 2023; the documents will also be posted online at Builder’s Exchange of Washington (www.bxwa.com) under Posted Projects/General Contractor Project areas/Washington/Skanska/Projects Bidding.
Questions that develop during the bid period must be submitted in writing and or emailed to Skanska USA Building, Inc. to neal.leatherman@skanska.com All questions and answers will be published via addenda during the bid period. Questions must be received no later than 12:00 PM on May 4th, 2023. DO NOT present questions directly to the Architect/Engineer or the School District.
A bid guarantee of 5% of the total bid amount is required at the time of bid. Bid deposits may be submitted in the form of a Bid Bond or cashier’s check, made to Skanska U.S.A. Building, Inc.
BUSINESS EQUITY: The project is committed to providing the maximum practicable opportunity for participation in contracting by small business entities and disadvantaged business enterprises. That commitment includes maximizing opportunity for state-certified minority business enterprises (MBEs) and women business enterprises (WBEs) on public works construction projects (collectively referred to as MWBEs). Participation may be either on a direct basis or as a subcontractor or supplier.
RETENTION: Skanska plans to obtain a Retention Bond for the project. Subcontractors will have the option of participating in the Skanska a retention bond in lieu of having retention held. Those who do not participate will be held to the standard 5% retention.
Skanska USA Building, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any non-material informalities or irregularities in the bids received. A bidder may withdraw its proposal by submitting a written request before the bid opening time. Skanska will return the proposal unopened after contract award.
