ITB PW 24-0004 - New Radar Speed Signs at 156th AVE NE Woodinville
The following is only a snapshot of the full scope of work. All bid documents and further details relevant to this ITB are only located on Public Purchase.
SCOPE OF WORK: The Scope of Work for this project encompasses the removal and replacement of two (2) radar speed signs located at the intersections of NE 195th St. and 156 Ave. NE. The southern radar speed sign (“South Radar Speed Sign” or “South Sign”) was involved in a vehicle collision and has been removed from the project site. Both signs will require conduit proofing and wire testing prior, to verify the direct feed is functional. The South Radar Speed Sign will require construction of a new concrete footing, electrical conduit and wiring, pole and fixtures, and LED radar speed sign. The northern radar speed sign (“North Radar Speed Sign” or “North Sign”) was unaffected in the vehicle collision and will require a new LED radar speed sign, wiring, and fixtures to be mounted to the existing pole. All Work shall be completed as shown on these bid documents, drawings, plans or as directed by the City Engineer.
This Work includes but is not limited to furnishing all prevailing wage labor, materials, equipment, tools, traffic control, disposal, delivery, installation, license and permit fees, all applicable state and local taxes, and any other associated costs required to complete the Work in full. Verifying operation of both signs once installation is completed is also required.
Note that the RadarSignTM brand is specified because it can be bought directly from the manufacturer by anyone. This allows fairness between each Contractor’s submitted bid.
This project is partially a result of a traffic accident that damaged the South Radar Speed Sign. The City has opted to include the replacement of the North Radar Speed Sign.
Traffic Control: If Contractor anticipates any impact to pedestrian sidewalk access, Work will need to be performed outside of school student pickup and drop off hours. A traffic control plan submittal is required to be reviewed and approved by the City that includes any temporary sidewalk detour site plans.
It is the Contractor's responsibility to adequately review and understand the Scope of Work, project location, and all potential hazards and dangers associated with the Work.
The last date for questions/clarifications on this ITB is September 24, 2024 (5 business days before closing).
BUDGET: The estimated budget is $38,000.
BID PROPOSAL SUBMITTAL: All interested and registered Contractors must submit their bid proposal through the Public Purchase portal by 2 pm (local time) on October 1st, 2024. Bid proposals received after the due date will not be accepted. There will NOT be a physical public opening of bids. Public Purchase allows for an electronically sealed bid system and as a result all bids must be uploaded in Public Purchase to be accepted.
