Kennydale Reservoir Schedule C – Offsite Improvements

Submittal Deadline: 2:00 PM, August 25, 2020

The City of Renton Public Works Department is calling for bids from qualified contractors to complete improvements to the water distribution system as the final phase of the Kennydale Reservoir Project. This project will integrate the newly constructed 1.29-MG reservoir into the City’s existing distribution system and will accommodate the conversion of hydraulic pressure zones. The project includes the installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of water main, the transfer of domestic water services, and the installation of two pressure-reducing valve stations and associated storm sewer connections.

The project is located along Park Ave N between NE 30th St and NE 32nd St in Renton, WA, west of Interstate 405. Construction is expected to begin September 7, 2020, and reach completion by November 30, 2020, consisting of 60 working days. The contractor must provide documents to demonstrate recent and similar water works projects within the past five (5) years to be considered.

Bid documents will be available July 30, 2020. Plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list for this project are available online through Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc., at http://www.bxwa.com. (Note: Bidders are encouraged to “Register as Bidder”, in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List”. Bid documents will also be available at http://rentonwa.gov/bids/ under “Calls for Bids”. Deadline: The deadline for bid submittal is 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Due to COVID-19 health and safety precautions, bid submittals will only be accepted during the hours of 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in the lobby of Renton City Hall, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton WA 98057. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via videoconference at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.
