King County RapidRide I Line Bus Rapid Transit Improvements

Project Description: The Work under this Contract includes improvements to King County Metro Route 160 by installing RapidRide Stations in the jurisdictions of the City of Renton, City of Kent, and City of Auburn. The Work also includes modifications of roadways, signals, utilities, and channelization to facilitate bus movements as further defined in the Contract Documents (available under the Files tab).

Project Location: Various locations along King County Metro Transit Route 160 (south King County), within rights-of-way belonging to the City of Renton, the City of Kent, the City of Auburn, and onadjacent private properties.

Total Contract Value: $73,000,000

SBE Requirement: 20% (DBE requirement counts towards SBE goal)

Bid Items: Shimmick Construction Company, Inc. welcomes quotes from certified subcontractors and suppliers on complete or partial portions of work, including (but not limited to) the following:

Site Preparation/Excavation; Surveying; Drainage; Grading; Channelization/Signing; Illumination/Electrical/Signal/ITS; Landscaping; Concrete; Paving; Traffic Control; Utilities; and Kit-of-Parts Stations

Additional Information: 100% Performance and Payment bonds with a surety company subject to approval of Shimmick Construction Company, Inc. are required of subcontractors for this project. Shimmick Construction will pay bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors will be required to abide by terms and conditions of the AGC Master Labor Agreements and to execute an agreement utilizing the latest SCCI Long Form Standard Subcontract incorporating prime contract terms and conditions, including payment provisions.
