ANNUAL REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FROM CONSULTANTS
Notice to Architectural, Engineering, and other Professional Consultants. In accordance with Title
39, Chapter 80 of the Revised Code of Washington, the Lake Washington School District #414 is
seeking interested architectural, engineering, and other professional consulting services for
capital construction and facilities projects.
Those projects may include building/site system upgrades, portables, new, modernized or replacement
schools, new schools and other facilities related projects. In addition to architectural and basic
engineering services, professional consulting services can include, but are not limited to, the
following disciplines:
• ADA
• acoustics
• arborist
• assessment and analysis
• building envelope
• building forensics
• civil
• commissioning
• constructability review
• construction management
• cost estimating
• electrical
• energy
• environmental, including hazardous materials
• fire protection
• geo tech
• hydrology
• indoor air quality
• kitchen and food service
• landscape and irrigation
• painting and coatings inspection
• program development
• project management and communication
• mechanical
• physical education systems
• roofing design, testing and inspection
• strategic facility planning
• structural
• survey, including boundary and topographic
• telecommunications
• testing and sample analysis
• traffic management
• track, field and other athletic systems.
• underground storage tanks
• value engineering
• wayfinding
All firms interested in providing services to the district must have qualifications on file which
include: (1) a letter of interest along with a submittal indicating areas of service and
qualifications; and (2) include Standard Form 330. Qualifications should be updated as necessary
and at the consultant’s discretion to keep the information current. All materials should be sent
via e-mail in pdf format to construction@lwsd.org.
Successful applicants must procure General Liability, Automobile Liability and Professional
Liability Insurance. Lake Washington School District encourages all qualified women, minority and
