Minder Rd Phase 8C 12” HDPE Horizontal Drilling Project

Notice is hereby given that Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County (KPUD) will receive sealed bid proposals for Minder Rd Phase 8C 12” HDPE Horizontal Drilling Project on May 2, 2023, until 1:00 p.m., at the KPUD’s Administrative Offices located at 1431 Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo, Washington 98370. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly thereafter at the Finn Hill Road location.

Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment and materials required to install approximately 400 ft of 12” high-density polyethylene (HDPE) by directionally drilling in a manner so as to avoid the existing 60-inch concrete culvert within which a fish-bearing (Type F) stream flows all as described in the Construction Specifications & Contract Documents. The time for completion on this project is 65 working days.

The project is located along Minder Road, between Poulsbo and Kingston of Kitsap County, Washington. Property information can be found on sheet C1 of the Construction Plans.

Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to https://www.kpud.org/about-us/vendors-bids/. Plans and specifications are also on file at Kitsap PUD, 1431 Finn Hill Road, (P.O. All work performed on this project is subject to state prevailing wage rates. Contractor must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Washington. A 5% bid guarantee is required in the form of certified or cashier’s check, or surety bond.

Each Bid Proposal shall conform to the requirements of Section 1-02.9 of the Contract Special Provisions. Bids shall be made out on the bid form furnished with the specifications.

When submitting a bid, only include the bid form, the bid guarantee, Non-Collusion certificate, Statement of Bidders Qualifications, and the., Certification of Compliance with Wage Payment Statutes, and Subcontractor Lists.
