Building Condition Assessment Services

Responses Due: July 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. PDT

Firms interested in providing Building Condition Assessment consulting services for the Northshore School District are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications. For details including the scope and scoring criteria to be used for selection, firms should contact Aaron Huotari at ahuotari@nsd.org to request the full RFQ document.

Project Information: The Northshore School District (NSD) is embarking on an initiative to enhance its facilities' management and capital planning through a comprehensive Building Condition Assessment (BCA) process. The assessment aims to provide a holistic understanding of the current state of NSD's educational infrastructure and inform future capital planning initiatives.

Background: In alignment with past capital bond planning efforts, NSD acknowledges the importance of proactive maintenance and strategic investment in its facilities. The 2026 Capital Bond Planning Task Force seeks to build upon previous successes and address emerging needs to ensure a safe, functional, and conducive learning environment for all students and staff.

Purpose: The primary objective of this BCA is to gather accurate and detailed information about the condition of NSD's buildings and systems. The assessment outcomes will guide prioritization and resource allocation for maintenance, repairs, and potential capital projects.

Send response by 2:00 p.m. on July 11, 2024 via email to ahuotari@nsd.org. Each submitted Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) will undergo a comprehensive review by a selection panel designated by the Northshore School District.

Northshore School District encourages all qualified women, minority, and veteran-owned firms to respond. Northshore School District No. 417 is committed to non-discrimination and to an Affirmative Action Plan which can be found on the Northshore School District website.
