Notice of intent for Progressive Design-Build Services, New Elementary School on Redmond Elementary School

The Lake Washington School District (LWSD) is providing this notice to interested general contractors and architects that intends to utilize the Progressive Design-Build (PDB) procedure on a new elementary school.  
Project Description & Information: This project will add a new elementary school on the underdeveloped land of the existing Redmond Elementary School campus in downtown Redmond. The new school will accommodate at minimum 552 students. Additional upgrades to existing infrastructure of the Redmond Elementary School campus may be a part of the project, further studies are required.  

This project is fully funded by the 2022 Building Excellence Construction Levy approved by the LWSD voters on February 8, 2022. Target delivery date is Fall 2025. 
Procurement:  LWSD has applied to the Washington State Project Review Committee (PRC) for approval to use PDB on the project.  Subject to PRC approval, LWSD intends to advertise for and procure a Design-Builder in accordance

LWSD will be holding an information outreach meeting to provide additional information to interested parties, address questions, and review its procurement process. An informational meeting is scheduled for 
June 1st, 2022; 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at Old Redmond School House Community Room located at 16600 NE 80th St, Redmond WA 98052 (parking lot is adjacent to 166th Ave and NE 80th Street).
