OlyCAP General Contractor RFQ for Port Townsend Homeless Shelter
The Owner, OlyCAP, requests licensed and bonded General Contractors in Washington State to submit their qualifications and proposals for Pre-Construction and Construction Services for the new construction of Caswell-Brown Village Phase 3. Proposers must provide detailed information about their experience, capacity, and cost and pricing structure for construction contracts of this type. The Owner shall review submitted qualifications and proposals and select one firm to provide Pre-Construction and Construction Services on the Project, including participation in cost estimating, scheduling, and other elements critical to the timely and cost-effective construction of the Project, with the option (to be exercised at Owner’s sole discretion) to negotiate a Construction Contract with that same firm for the Project. It is expected that preconstruction services will begin in June 2023 and construction will begin in September 2023 and be completed within 8 to 10 months. The total estimated construction cost for the Project is approximately $3,600,000.
Caswell-Brown Village Phase 3 is an 11,000 square foot single story homeless shelter and permanent supportive housing center. The site is already graded, however, sitework will include paving for parking, stormwater retention swales, and septic installation. Construction will be site built and wood framing with slab on grade foundations and footings. A draft floorplan and site plan are attached.
