Olympia Crest Apartments - Renovation
The Housing Authority of Thurston County (HATC) is receiving sealed bids for the construction of the Olympia Crest Apartments Renovation project in Olympia, Washington. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to replacing siding on residential buildings, and office improvements at the Olympia Crest Apartments. Cost estimate range: $1,850,000 - $2,100,000.
Bids will be received at the HATC’s office at 1206 12th Ave SE, Olympia, Washington, until 2:00 PM, Pacific Daylight Saving Time, on July 7th, 2020. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via a web-based video conference at 3:00 PM on the same day. There will not be an in person bid opening due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Bid Proposals received after the day and time stated above will not be considered. Contract will be awarded, or rejected, within 45 days of the bid opening. Bids shall be delivered to the HATC in person or by mail. Any bids delivered in person must be deposited in the drop box at the HATC’s front door. The HATC does not pre-qualify bidders. An investigation of the apparent low bidder will be conducted to determine the financial responsibility and capability of the bidder to perform the work. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and, under "Public Agencies", click on "Housing Authority of Thurston County". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. A Bid Security, in the form of a Cashier’s Check or Surety Bond, shall accompany each Bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the combined Base Bid and all alternates, and made payable to the Housing Authority of Thurston County. This contract is subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage. The HATC reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and in particular, to reject a Bid not accompanied by the required Bid Security or data required by the Bidding Documents, or a bid in any way late, incomplete or irregular.
