It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to obtain Addenda, if any. Addenda information will be available on the Pierce County Procurement and Contract website. Pierce County accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for Addenda and submit inadequate or incomplete proposals.

Only original, paper bids will be accepted. Bids received after 1:00 p.m. on this date will not be considered.

State Sales Tax – WAC 458-20-171 – Use Tax

The Contractor shall include Washington State Retail Sales Tax in the various unit bid item prices or other contract amounts, including those that the Contractor pays on the purchase of the materials, equipment, or supplies used or consumed in doing the work.

 

Description of Work

 

Group 1 (Base Bid)

This work consists of removing and reconstructing the existing concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, pedestrian curb, driveway, and a portion of a curb ramp near Pacific Lutheran University (PLU), Tacoma, per Contract details.

 

Group 2 (Additive Bid)

This work consists of removing and reconstructing existing concrete sidewalk in the PLU Neighborhood, Tacoma, per Contract details.

 

Group 3 (Additive Bid)

This work consists of removing and reconstructing existing concrete on Eustis Hunt Road East, Spanaway, per Contract details.

 

Scope of Work

This work provides for removal and replacement of up to approximately 260 square yards of concrete sidewalks and driveway, approximately 50 feet of cement concrete traffic curb and gutter, and approximately 40 feet of pedestrian curb on a variety of roadways located across Pierce County, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Special Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.

 

Pierce County , in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.

C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
