POINT DEFIANCE PARK LOOP TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE I

BID NOTICE

The Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma will receive sealed bids for Bid J2022-28, Point Defiance Park Loop Trail Improvements – Phase I, at the office of Planning, Design & Development, Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma, 4702 S 19th Street, Tacoma WA 98405 until 1:00 p.m., September 7, 2022. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 1:05 p.m. Bids received after the appointed time set for receipt will be returned unopened.

The project includes, but is not limited to:
Construction of pedestrian and bicycle improvements within Point Defiance Park and the City of Tacoma right-of-way including a shared-use path, sidewalk, curb ramps, plaza areas, landscaping, and associated storm drainage and utility work.

Prevailing Wage Rates and the Metro Parks Tacoma Apprenticeship Training Program requirements will apply. 2279 apprentice hours are estimated for this project.
Minority & Women Owned Enterprises (MWBE) participation will apply.

Metro Parks Tacoma encourages an MWBE goal of eight percent (8%) on a Public Works PROJECT ESTIMATED AT $20,000.00 OR MORE including Subcontractors: The Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE) certifies firms that are owned and controlled by minorities or women, and can provide information regarding the certification process. The base bid estimate range is $1,300,000 - $1,500,000. Time of completion is 105 calendar days.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at Point Defiance Park Loop Trail, 5400 N Pearl Street, Tacoma WA 98407 on August 31, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to the pre-bid conference.
