Port of Bellingham - GP Wharf: Marine Use Repairs RFPS
The Port of Bellingham (the Port) is soliciting responses from qualified and experienced engineering consulting firms to this Request for Professional Services (RFPS) to assist the Port with development and implementation of a maintenance plan for interim use of the GP wharf (wharf and pier) for marine use. Work may include field data collection, design, permitting, and development of bid documents for a formal public works project or projects. Future work may include public works bid support, construction administration, and/or construction management. The approximate project area and site recommendations are shown in the Facility Condition Assessment Report (Appendix A).
The goal of this project is to identify, prioritize and perform maintenance and repairs necessary to maintain this facility in good working order for the near future.
The selected respondent team should plan on completing the following tasks as determined by the Port:
• Lead project manager, organizing all efforts and coordination with Port project manager.
• Project management including, but not limited to, meetings, coordination, invoicing, file management, and potential grant cost projections and management
• Regulatory and stakeholder coordination including preparation for and participating in meetings
• Permitting
• Develop bid documents which may be phased. Maintenance construction efforts may be accomplished in house, through standard public works bidding, or through the use of job order contracting.
• Construction management and oversight.
