Pest Control 2024-495 Request for Proposals Summary

Proposal Due Date:  Notice is hereby given that proposals for this project will be accepted at the Port of Edmonds office, 471 Admiral Way, Edmonds, WA  98020 until 11:00 AM on October 3, 2024.  Any proposals received after the specified time and date will not be considered.  An emailed copy of your signed proposal will be acceptable.  Email to pest@portofedmonds.gov.

Scope of Work:  The scope of work includes: Monthly prevention, control and elimination of rodents around marina docks, buildings and parking areas at the Port of Edmonds. Port staff may contact for other pest elimination services (ants, roaches, termites) as needed. Vendor is to determine best location of bait stations for effectiveness, but there are some required locations. Vendor personnel are to conduct services during business hours 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday and to check in with Port staff before and after work is completed to log the updates.

Pre-Bid Meeting:  We strongly encourage vendors to attend the project overview meeting and site visit scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on September 25, 2024.  Please meet at 471 Admiral Way, Commission Room, Edmonds, WA  98020.  Port staff may not be available for site visits independent of the pre-bid meeting.

Work Start & Completion Dates:  Work may begin when the Port receives the signed contract, insurance documentation, IRS W-9. The contract will be annually, with options to renew for a total of 4 years.

Prevailing Wages:  Not required for this contracted work.

Insurance:  Commercial General Liability, Business Auto, Worker’s Comp and Employer’s Liability (Stop Gap) insurance will be required for this project.

Right to Reject Bids:  The Port of Edmonds reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities or informalities.

Advertisement:  Notice shall be advertised in the Everett Herald and OMWBE website and bxwa.com.
