Port of Edmonds Request for Qualifications: Architects

Background: The Port of Edmonds is a Washington State Public Port encompassing a large marina and a five-building business park located east of the waterfront, housing approximately fifty tenants. The Port has key operations in several buildings along the waterfront and requires architectural services to address changes to these established properties.

Due Date: Proposals for this project will be received at the Port of Edmonds Administration Office, 471 Admiral Way, Edmonds, WA  98020, until 4:00 PM, July 31, 2025.  Any proposals received after the specified time and date will not be considered.  Proposals SHOULD be emailed to architect@portofedmonds.gov as a maximum 10-page PDF file. It is the proposer’s responsibility to confirm submittal has been received.

Instructions: Refer to the RFQ package for specifics and key points of interest for scoring.

Scope of Work:  The scope of work entails architectural, planning, and consultation services on demand for several projects, which would most likely include prevailing wage public work considerations. The contract is being issued for one year, with options for renewal.

Pre-Bid Meeting NOT scheduled: A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled for this project. Please submit all questions by no later than 10 am, July 28 to architect@portofedmonds.gov . No guarantees are made for staff availability for impromptu visits to the property.

Work Start & Completion Dates:  Work requests for the first assignment will be issued upon contract execution, starting mid-August 2025.

Insurance: Commercial General Liability, Business Auto, Worker’s Comp, and Employer’s Liability (Stop Gap), coverage will be required for this project.

Questions and Addendums: Answers to emailed written questions received (no verbal conversations) may be posted as addendums on the project page at bxwa.com no later than July 28, 2025.
