Due Date: Qualifications from surveyors and/or engineering firms for this project will be received at the Port of Edmonds Administration Office, 471 Admiral Way, Edmonds, WA 98020 until 11:00 AM, July 3, 2024. Any proposals received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Proposals may also be emailed to geo@portofedmonds.gov It is the proposer’s responsibility to confirm submittal has been received.

Scope of Work: The scope of work includes providing labor, materials and equipment necessary: The Port of Edmonds is seeking qualified geotechnical engineering firms to support in the development of a current project, and is in the process of permitting a mobile office building. A critical area determination has identified several critical areas in the vicinity of the development including among other requirements: Seismic hazard area and liquefaction. Firms will be requested to provide design recommendations and reports to address the critical areas per the City of Edmonds ECDC chapter 23. Additional related or unrelated services may be requested in the future for one year at published vendor hourly rates.

NO Pre-Bid Meeting: A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled for this project. Please submit all questions by no later than June 27, 10 am to geo@portofedmonds.gov . No guarantees are made for staff availability. Interested parties may self tour the facility. Location map and project description will be included in the invitation.

Work Start & Completion Dates: Work shall be substantially complete upon an agreed schedule for each project assigned, and completed by 45 days after award. Work may begin when the Port receives the signed contract, insurance documentation, IRS W-9. Work is expected to begin immediately upon the contract award.

Insurance: Commercial General Liability, Business Auto, Worker’s Comp, and Employer’s Liability (Stop Gap), professional liability insurance coverage will be required for this project. (USL&H likely not needed, no inwater work)

Obtaining proposal package: Project proposal documents will be available starting by end of day June 21, 2024 at bxwa.com under Port of Edmonds, goods and services.

Questions and Addendums: Answers to emailed written questions received (no verbal conversations) may be posted as addendums on the project page at bxwa.com no later than June 27, 2024.
