Scope of Work: The Port of Woodland is seeking interested bidders for the capital maintenance painting project at our Down River Drive industrial Park. The existing paint color scheme will be replaced with a new selected palette meeting the Port’s color, warrantee and UV requirements.
Timeline: Work may be started as early as March 2024 and must be completed by September 2024.
Quote Due Date: October 12, 2023 by 2:00 PM
Contractor Responsibilities: All prep work except pressure washing. Prep work includes but is not limited to sanding, caulking, taping, drop clothes, minor cleaning, and minor repair work. Contractor must notify Port of their intention to begin the project two weeks (10 business days) prior to start to complete pressure washing. If Contractor does not provide ample notice, it will be up to the contractor to complete pressure washing and will not be compensated for additional prep. Permits as applicable.
Port Responsibilities: Port staff will pressure wash all buildings and ensure clear access to the buildings.
Product Requirements: Must use Sherwin Willaims protective line paint. All white paint will be changed to Pallet Tan SW4003. All blue trim and accessories will be painted Tower Grey SW4018 to match with existing awnings.
Buildings:
- 2 sides of building to be painted. We are just painting the concrete wall portions of building, not the metal siding parts.
- 1363 DRD: 2 overhead doors, 2 doors, window frames 1 @ 2’ x 12’ and 1 @ 3’ x 5’. No gutters or down spouts. 2 sides need paint 1 @ 170’ x 25’ and 1 @ 75’ x 25’ with 170’ of trim line. Building is North facing.
- 1 Side of buildings to be painted. We are just painting the concrete wall portion of buildings, not the metal siding parts.
- 1375 DRD: 2 overhead doors, 3 doors, 5 down spouts, and 170’ of gutter and trim line. Building is North facing.
- 1383 DRD: 3 overhead doors, 3 doors, 5 down spouts, and 170’ of gutter and trim line. Building is East facing.
- 1387 DRD: 2 overhead doors, 4 doors, 7 down spouts, 1 glass door entrance, and 245’ of gutter and trim line. Building is East facing.
- 1391 DRD: 2 overhead doors, 2 doors, 5 down spouts, and 170’ of gutter and trim line. Building is South facing.
- 1395 DRD: only building that needs whole building painted. We are just painting the concrete wall portions of building, not the metal siding parts.
- 3 overhead doors, 3 doors, 4 down spouts, and 4 window frames @ 81” x 57”. All 4 sides of this building need to be painted, 2 @ 62’ x 24’ and 2 @ 168’ x 24’. Building is South facing.
Exclusions: Awnings do not need to be painted.
Measurements: All overhead doors are 12’ by 14’. All doors are 36” by 84” some with window some solid. Doors will be front and back and include the door jam. Down spouts are 8” wide and roughly 25’ long. All buildings except 1395 DRD have a 8” trim line that goes whole length of building. Unsecured parking and storage available at site and must be identified to the Port for tenant approval prior to locating equipment.
Take into consideration that the Project will be awarded in January, 2024 with work to be performed weather permitting as early as March of 2024 and must be completed by September 2024. Cowlitz County Prevailing Wage must be paid on work done for the Port of Woodland along with a filing of Intent, Affidavit and Certified Payroll. If your company has not done business with the Port of Woodland within the last 12 months, there have been changes in your company or you are not positive that you have done it in the past, please fill out an updated Small Works Roster Application prior to submittal of quote/bid. Quote/Bids will not be reviewed if there is not a Small Works Roster Application on file with the Port of Woodland.
