The Washington State Patrol Crime Laboratory, in order to ensure that scientists are compliant with the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), will need a variety of proficiency test distributed 4 times per year.  The WSP Crime Lab Division is required to participate in a proficiency testing program for each of its forensic disciplines.  Each scientist is required to complete at least one proficiency test per year.
