Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program (PSEMP) Communication Coach, Editor, and Consultant
The purpose of this Request for Qualifications and Quotations (RFQQ) is for the Puget Sound Partnership (Partnership) to solicit proposals from interested and qualified bidders that can provide science communication support. The successful bidder will be successful in editing and coaching the Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program (PSEMP) partners in developing science communication materials.
PSEMP is a collaborative network of subject matter experts from many monitoring organizations throughout the region. Together, they generate, organize, synthesize, and communicate scientific information, across political and organizational boundaries. This information is essential for tracking ecosystem conditions and directly addressing management and science questions critical to Puget Sound recovery. Science communication is critical to PSEMP and is a key growth area in the program. The Partnership seeks a consultant to help authors craft compelling narratives and create communication products that are clear, direct, and precise.
In a typical year, PSEMP creates a range of reports, syntheses, key messages or summaries of monitoring observations and analyses, and 3-10 one-page project factsheets, all of which would benefit the support of a consultant. We seek a consultant to work directly with authors to ensure their written content is clear, well-organized, and grammatically correct. We are also looking for a consultant to help bring critical capacity and expertise to develop new communications products for the network.
