QUEETS-CLEARWATER LARGE WOOD RESTORATION PROJECT
Trout Unlimited is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified river science and engineering consultants for the Queets Clearwater Large Wood Restoration project. Trout Unlimited is seeking qualified engineering consultants to complete final designs for large wood restoration on the Snahapish River, Hurst Creek, Shale Creek and Christmas Creek on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula in northwest Washington State. Conceptual and preliminary designs were completed in 2024 in partnership with the Quinault Indian Nation, The Nature Conservancy, and the Washington Department of Natural Resources (WDNR).
This request covers efforts to complete Phase III of the Queets and Clearwater Tributaries Resiliency Plan for Coho Recovery (Resiliency Plan), including the development of four final design packages for reach scale projects in priority tributaries within the Clearwater River watershed (Natural Systems Design 2024). The information contained herein characterizes the project goals and the likely scope of work. An actual scope of work will be negotiated with the consultant(s) determined to be most qualified through this request for qualifications (RFQ) solicitation. Contractor selection will be based on submitted SOQs and selection criteria included in this RFQ.
