The Lake Washington School District (LWSD) is accepting proposals for Progressive Design-Build services. RFQ 23-2461.

Project Description: Lake Washington School District is the second largest school district in WA State. This project optimizes facilities planning on two existing middle school campuses for current needs and future growth.

Kamiakin Middle School Campus: A new secondary school facility has been approved and funded by a recent Capital Construction Levy. The existing middle school may require replacement with a 900 student facility. Modernization, demolition, or other use of the existing facility needs to be determined in the master planning process. The master plan and 50% Schematic Design documents will be utilized for future construction funding.

Evergreen Middle School Campus: This site includes several education facilities including Evergreen Middle School, Dickinson Elementary School, and Explorer Community School. The existing middle school may require replacement with a 900 student facility. Modernization, demolition, or other use of the existing facility needs to be determined in the master planning process. Future new Early Learning Center may also need to be considered to maximize site usage. The master plan and 50% Schematic Design documents will be utilized for future construction funding.

SOQs will be submitted electronically via Bonfire and must be received by 10:00 A.M. PST on August 18, 2023. Interested parties must register with Bonfire to view and download RFQ documents, submit RFIs and upload SOQ documents.
