Project Description: The removal of the existing canal bridge and replacement with a new concrete bridge structure as shown on the Plans. The project includes excavation for removal of the existing substructure and construction of the new substructure, wing walls, superstructure, CIP toping slab, temporary canal bypass, canal restoration, removal of existing roadway pavement, raising the roadway grade and establishing a new roadway profile, HMA pavement, new driveway approaches, and new canal road approaches. Additional items of work include, but are not limited to, traffic control, installation and removal of traffic detour, permanent signage, pavement marking, culverts, relocation of fences and gates, shoulder and ditch grading, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
Subcontractor/Supplier Opportunities Include (but are not limited to): clearing & grubbing, erosion control, survey work, traffic control, demolition of existing bridge structure, excavation & grading work, HMA paving, striping, landscaping, hauling, signage, rebar supply & installation, hydro seeding, guardrails, traffic barrier, fencing, and electrical. As well as the supply of ready-mix concrete, pipe/utilities, aggregate, and disposal.
