Project Description:
Corridor Improvements - This Contract provides for the Phase 1 improvement of the 145th Street (SR 523) corridor within the City of Shoreline, WSDOT and City of Seattle right-of-way limits. The roadway corridor will be widened and will include signalized intersection improvements, new traffic signals, signal timing modifications, new sidewalk, curb ramps, landscaping, bus zones, pavement markings and urban design treatments. Overhead utilities will be relocated underground for a portion of the corridor, storm drainage and water improvements will be installed, and other work.
Interchange Improvements - This Contract also provides for the improvement of the NE 145th Street and 1-5 Interchange within the City of Shoreline, WSDOT and City of Seattle right-of-way limits. The two signalized intersections on the west (145th Street/1-5 on-off ramps) and east (145th Street/5th Avenue) sides of the interchange will be replaced with multi-lane roundabouts.
3rd Avenue N.E. Sanitary Sewer Replacement - This Contract also provides for removal/abandonment of an existing 10-inch sanitary sewer system and its replacement with a 12-inch sanitary sewer system along 3rd Avenue N.E. within City of Shoreline right-of-way.
5th Avenue N.E. Direct Bury Cable Replacement - This Contract also provides for installation of a communication duct bank system along 5th Avenue N. E. within multiple public agency rights-of-way.
Subcontractor/Supplier Opportunities Include (but are not limited to): temporary erosion control, removing existing concrete and asphalt pavements, installing concrete retaining walls with barrier, fencing, installing temporary illumination and traffic signals and permanent street lighting, water treatment, and detention of road runoff, relocating existing and installing power system duct banks and utility vaults, soldier pile and cast-in-place concrete retaining walls, assisting Lumen with its relocation of existing communication duct banks and utility vaults, installing cement concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, ADA ramp facilities, driveways, and multi-lane roundabouts, paving with asphalt and concrete pavements, installing guardrail, barriers, and chain link fence, pavement markings, permanent signing, landscaping, traffic control, and performing roadway, structure, and licensed surveying, and other work.
JCC encourages bids from all subcontractors and suppliers including Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE’s), for any item of work, or portion of an item, or combination thereof related to this project.
