Project Description:

Snohomish County will complete a seismic retrofit of Larson Road Bridge #101.  Larson Road Bridge #101 was built in 1962 and is a two lane 304-foot long three span bridge that carries Larson Road over the South Lough Stillaguamish River east of the Silvana community.  Larson Road is classified as a Minor Collector Rural Road with an ADT of 2979 for 2022.  The bridge is on a seismic lifeline route.  This project is funded by Federal Highway Administration administered under Washington State Department of Transportation Local Programs.

Estimated start date: September 20, 2024, and end date December 31, 2026

Scope and Nature of the project:  The Department of Public Works seeks to hire a consulting team to provide the following:

  • Review of seismic analysis and concept design report
  • Perform engineering to evaluate the seismic retrofit requirements, refine and develop alternative design concepts.
  • Review, compare the preferred alternatives.
  • Bridge structure design and engineering for seismic retrofit
  • PS&E through 100% complete design
  • Field investigation
  • Drawing and permit support
  • Bid Support
  • Additional services as listed in the RFQ document.
