RFQ for Architecture and Engineering for a CLT Panelized Modular Home
The Clallam County Economic Development Council (“Clallam EDC”) is soliciting qualifications from experienced individuals or firms (“Proposer” or “Proposers”) interested in providing architectural and engineering testing and design support for a panelized modular unit which will be manufactured by the Composite Recycling Technology Center (CRTC).
This solicitation is meant to select a contractor(s) to fulfill the role of consultant (“Consultant”). The Clallam EDC received an Evergreen Growth Grant issued by the Washington State Department of Commerce. The Clallam EDC is soliciting qualifications from contractors to complete architectural and engineering testing and design to pursue certification of a detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with the City of Seattle utilizing panelized Cross-Laminated Timber materials. The building footprint will be approximately 800 square feet (SF) and offer 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The successful bidder will work closely with the CRTC in Port Angeles, WA. The project’s goal is to create a Certification Package that is acceptable to the City of Seattle Building Department. The project will be a“paper” project using Alternative Means and Methods approach to prepare the CRTC for submittal of pre-approved building plans.
