RFQ - Construction of Custom Law Enforcement Crime Scene Truck


Notice is hereby given that the City of Kent, Washington, will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk’s office through April 16, 2024, up to 11:00 a.m. as shown on the clock on the east wall of the City Clerk’s Office on the first floor of City Hall, 220 4th Avenue South, Kent, Washington. All bids must be properly marked and sealed in accordance with this “Invitation to Bid.” Bids must be delivered and received at the City Clerk’s office by the above-stated time, regardless of delivery method, including U.S. Mail. City staff will review all bids and then contact selected vendors to engage in further negotiations for the following:



The contract consists of building a custom aluminum 20’L. (OD) Truck Body and complete installation on a new 2024 Ford F550 cab/chassis supplied by the City of Kent. The new cab/chassis has been built and delivered to City of Kent Fleet and will be delivered to your facility for upfitting. The design and requirements are listed as follows. Proposals must be clearly marked “Proposals” with the name of the project on the outside of the envelope, addressed to the City Clerk, 220 4th Avenue South, Kent, WA 98032-5895. Only sealed bids will be accepted. No facsimiles or electronic submittals will be considered.

Each proposal shall be in accordance with specifications and other contract documents now on file in the office of the Public Works Operations Manager, City of Kent.

The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or waive any informalities in the submission of proposals, or determine which proposal or applicant is the most responsive. The City shall be the sole judge thereof.

Prospective Contractors must submit with their initial proposal a signed statement as to whether they have previously performed work subject to the Presidential Executive Order No. 11246. This statement is informational only.

No applicant may withdraw his/her proposal for a period of thirty (30) days after the day the proposals are opened.
