Heidelberg Sports Village Project

The Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma (MPT) will receive letters of interest and statements of qualifications from qualified consulting firms specializing in the expedient preparation, completion, and submission of scope/program descriptions and feasibility analyses for each component of the proposed Heidelberg Sports Village Project (the “Project”).

Metro Parks Tacoma (MPT) in conjunction with the City of Tacoma (COT) and the Tacoma Rainiers/Seattle Sounders FC Joint Venture (JV), have chosen several properties in the vicinity of Cheney Stadium to be the potential locations of the future professional soccer stadium, multisport outdoor field complex and mixed-use commercial development (collectively, the “Projects”). These Projects, when combined, form the Heidelberg Sports Village. The site ideally connects with Cheney Stadium, Central neighborhood community, the Foss High School campus, State Highway 16 and the fully funded future Sound Transit 3 light rail route on South 19th Street.
