RFQ for Randall Park Pond Outlet Water Quality Treatment - City of Yakima

The City of Yakima, Washington (City) is soliciting statements of qualifications for Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Professional Services for the following project. The City reserves the right to amend terms of this “Request for Qualifications” (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses.

Project Description

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of an alternatives analysis for up to three stormwater best management practices to treat the Randall Park Pond outflow for various pollutants. One alternative will be chosen, from which plans, specifications and cost estimate shall be developed to 90-percent design. Other project components may include but are not limited to surveying, environmental permitting, administrative services and preparing and submitting a Design Report to the Washington State Department of Ecology.

The design shall be completed by Summer 2026; the project is primarily funded through a Water Quality Grant with the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Evaluation Criteria

Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria:

  1. Qualifications of Proposed Project Manager
  2. Qualifications/Expertise of Firm
  3. Ability to meet schedule
  4. Approach to project
  5. Familiarity with Stormwater Management Manual of Eastern Washington
  6. Past Performance/References

Submittal

Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone and fax numbers; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; and Number of employees in each firm proposed to project.

Please submit FOUR (4) copies of your Proposal to: Randy Meloy, 2220 E. Viola Ave., Yakima, WA 98901, no later than 2:00 p.m. on May 9, 2024. Submittals will not be accepted after that time and date. Any questions regarding this project should be directed to Randy Meloy, randy.meloy@yakimawa.gov.
