CITY OF OLYMPIA REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)

RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION SERVICES – FONES ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The City of Olympia Public Works Department is currently seeking Statement of Qualifications for Right-of-Way Acquisition services for the Fones Road Improvements Project. The project consists of constructing multi-modal corridor improvements along Fones Road from Pacific Avenue to 18^th Avenue. Right-of-way negotiations for this project are anticipated to start mid-2020. The project may require strip acquisitions and/or temporary construction licenses from an estimated thirty (30) property owners along the project. They include a mix of single-family residential, apartment, and commercial properties.

This project is partially funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration.

The City of Olympia in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration for an award.

The deadline for this RFQ is December 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Earlier responses are welcome. Only electronic submittals will be accepted.  

Questions related to this RFQ shall be submitted in writing to Kristina Horton, City Surveyor, via email at khorton@ci.olympia.wa.us. Questions via telephone will not be accepted. All questions to this RFQ must be received by November 19, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Local Time. Questions received after this date may not be answered. All global questions will be addressed on the Builders Exchange of Washington website under the project page within the Goods and Services category, at www.bxwa.com.
