Sealed bids for the following described construction will be received by Columbia County, at the Public Works Department Office reception desk:
Located at 415 N. Guernsey Avenue, Dayton, Washington, 99328, until 9:30 a.m., P.D.T., on March 3, 2025.
The bids will be opened and publicly read at the Office of the Board of County Commissioners, 115 West Main Street, Dayton, Washington, 99328 at 10:00 a.m., P.D.T., on March 3, 2025.
Bids must be completed on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the BID PROPOSAL, and the total as defined in the Special Provisions will be used for the purpose of comparison of bids for the SOUTH TOUCHET BRIDGE REHABILITATION Project. Award of the construction contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder.
Work includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of elastomeric bearings on a 96-foot single span precast concrete bridge, concrete bridge seat repair, and other related work, all in accordance with the Plans, Special Provisions, and the Washington State Department of Transportation 2025 Standard Specifications. Bidders may download digital documents at no cost and obtain printed documents, at bidder’s expense, by choosing the “Order” option. Posted on this Plan Room, under the “Documents” section, is an Official list of the locations where documents may be examined. This project is being funded through Columbia County and WSDOT Federal Aid No. BHOS-2007(047). Contractor will be subject to all federal and state requirements relating to the use of such funds. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, minor defects, or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, subject to the conditions provided for in the bid procedures and conditions.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The following is applicable to federal aid projects.
The (Local Agency), in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
