NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:

The work will include, but not be limited to, installation of posts and ball control netting.  The cost range is $125,000 to $175,000.

Sealed Bids will be received by Seattle Public Schools (“SPS” or “Owner”) through and including 2:00 p.m. on June 3, 2022 at the Seattle Public Schools’ John Stanford Center, Contracting Services Section, 2445 Third Avenue South, Seattle, WA  98134 for the Southwest Athletic Complex Netting project.

The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through at 1:00 pm on May 18, 2022, at the Southwest Athletic Complex, 8402 30th Avenue SW, Seattle WA 98126.  Meet at the south access gate off SW Trenton Street. To best comply with current COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, meeting participants are required to adhere to the following: do not attend if not feeling well or currently COVID-19 positive, provide and wear own personal protective equipment (PPE) including face mask, and maintain six-foot social distancing as feasible. A surety company bid bond on a form acceptable to Owner, a cashier’s check or a certified check payable to the order of Seattle Public Schools shall accompany each bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid.  The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.

No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of the contract
is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days.

1.   On-line Plan Center

Bid documents, associated addenda and Bidders List are available at no charge at Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. On-line Plan Center (www.bxwa.com).  To access documents on-line with Builders Exchange, go to “bxwa.com” and click on “Posted Projects,” “Public Works,” “Seattle Public Schools” and “Projects Bidding.”  It is recommended that bidders “Register as a Bidder” in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda, to download addenda, and to be placed on the “Bidders List.”  Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued for this project. 2.   Reprographic Outlet

General contractors may pick up a maximum of two complete sets of Bidding Documents, and mechanical and electrical subcontractors may obtain one complete set of the Bidding Documents for a refundable deposit of $150.00 per set, by business or cashier’s check only, made payable to Seattle Public Schools at the office of:
