CITY OF BREMERTON NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR SR 303 Warren Avenue Bridge Pedestrian Improvements
The City of Bremerton, Public Works, Engineering Division, solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in civil and structural engineering design services. This agreement will be for approximately two years in duration with the option for the City of Bremerton to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Consultants will be considered for the following project.
The City of Bremerton reserves the right to amend terms of this “Request for Qualifications” (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses.
Project Description
The project provides for pedestrian and safety improvements to the Warren Avenue Bridge (i.e. Port Washington Narrows Bridge). Improvements on the bridge include widening existing sidewalks on both sides of the bridge to 10-foot wide, replacing the existing median barrier with crash worthy traffic barrier, pedestrian rails and upgrading existing lighting. Improvements off the bridge consist of connecting bridge sidewalk to existing sidewalk network, including new 10-foot ADA compliant sidewalks from the bridge to Lebo Boulevard, Callahan/Claire Interchange, 17th Street and 18th Street. The major features of the project are as follows:

• Structural design for retaining walls
• Drainage design
• Lighting design
• Signing/channelization design
• Landscaping
• Determination of R/W needs
• Guardrail/Barrier design
