ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Canyon St – Street & Water Main IMPROVEMENTs PROJECT

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Twisp, Washington, at City Hall located at 118 S Glover St, Twisp, WA 98856 until 1:00 PM. on April 2, 2019 and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud.

 

The improvements for which bids will be received are generally described below:

 

This project entails the full depth recycling of Canyon St in downtown Twisp, as well as the installation of new 8-inch C900 water main.  This project also includes:

 

• Approximately 675 CY of Roadway Excavation, Incl. Haul, construction of 700 LF of Bioinfiltration swale, and 1,550 tons of Crushed Surfacing Top Course.
• Replacement of approximately 17 water meters and boxes, with 14 1” service connections.
• Spot repairs of the existing sanitary sewer system.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of Twisp.

 

Contract documents must be obtained from Varela and Associates, Inc., located at 601 W. The project is being funded by the Transportation Improvement Board funds 2-E-886(008)-1 and a grant/loan program from the United States department of Agriculture Rural Development program. Schedule B of this project is subject to Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017, American Iron and Steel Requirements.
