Terminal 4 Expansion & Redevelopment: T4A Cargo Yard Relocation & Expansion

The overall Project is a multimodal project that uses the existing, dual-berth
Terminal 4 and adjacent, Port-owned uplands to improve cargo flow into and through the international
shipping complex. The preliminary budget for the overall Project is $46.85 million. The services
requested with this RFQ are for the T4A Cargo Yard Relocation & Expansion (Cargo Yard Expansion)
portion of the overall Project. The preliminary budget for the Cargo Yard Expansion is $11 million. The
Cargo Yard Expansion will repurpose a 50-acre brownfield into cargo laydown area for breakbulk cargo
yard relocation of Terminal 4A. The brownfield is a former pontoon casting basin. Elements of the work
may include grading, filling, stormwater systems, electrical systems, utilities, structural systems, marine
systems, roadways, paving, and related work. Background information concerning the overall Project

information on the Cargo Yard Expansion site is available in Appendix K of the application documents.
